Learning Objectives:
Define the three phases of play therapy training (Beginner, Post-Graduation/Internship, and Advanced) and the developmental characteristics of supervisees at each level.
Demonstrate knowledge of the three core APT play therapy competencies: Knowledge and Understanding of Play Therapy, Clinical Skills, and Professional Engagement.
Identify the appropriate evaluation methods for assessing play therapy competencies at each supervisee level
Demonstrate a structured approach to guide supervisees toward meeting the requirements for RPT credentialing through competency-based assessment.
